The Welfare System in America is something that many people do not think about, they just know that there are people living in public subsidized housing who receive money from the Federal Government every month in order to make ends meat. But that is not all there is to the American Welfare System.
In America there are millions of families who are on Welfare, and while some of them do not want to live that lifestyle, or want to go somewhere in life - many of them do not. The way the Welfare system is set up, it is very easy too abuse if you are on it. Basically the more kids you have the more money the government gives you, and they end up giving you enough money to help you live and get by without ever having to work. Parents are even raising their kids showing them how to stay in the system, and how too get more money from the Government, without every working or raising a finger - other than making babies.
The money for Welfare does not just appear though, it is taken out of tax payers wallets.
My mom actively lobbies for reform in the Welfare System, and one of her biggest arguments is that the Government is giving out more and more money, and a lot of that money needs to go to other places. What that means is that the Government is handing out money to families who do not want to get out of the system, and it is money that our nation currently does not have. It really is a shame that we live in such a magnificent age, and there are still people who have to abuse government welfare system because there is absolutely no incentive for them to leave - and leaving might mean being homeless.
